1. What types of projects do you handle—new custom homes, renovations, or both?
We specialize in both custom home construction and remodeling. Whether you want to build your dream home or update your existing space, we have the expertise and trade partners to deliver high-quality results.
2. What is your service area or which regions do you build in?
We serve Canton, Ohio and surrounding areas including Stark, Summit, Carroll, Medina, and Wayne Counties. We assess feasibility and building requirements for all projects within our service zone.
3. What is the first step in working with you on a custom home or remodel?
We begin with an in-person, virtual, or showroom consultation to discuss your goals, plans, timeline, and budget. Then we provide a preliminary estimate and outline the next steps.
4. How long does a custom home build or major remodel take?
A custom home typically takes 7–10 months depending on design complexity, permitting, and site conditions. Remodeling timelines range from several weeks to several months.
5. How do you price projects – fixed bid, cost-plus, or hybrid?
We offer fixed-price, cost-plus, and hybrid pricing models depending on your project and comfort level. We explain each option clearly so you can make an informed choice.
6. What does your scope of work include / what is typically excluded?
We include major construction tasks such as foundations, framing, roofing, plumbing, HVAC, electrical, interior finishes, and more. Landscaping and certain site utilities may be excluded and are always clarified in writing.
7. Can you help with design, architectural services, and permitting?
Yes, we work closely with architects, drafters, and engineers. If you have existing plans, we can build from them. If not, we coordinate full design and permitting services.
8. How do you manage subcontractors and quality control?
We hire trusted, licensed subcontractors and maintain strict oversight with walk-throughs, inspections, and quality checks. Many of our trade partners and suppliers have worked with us for over 40 years.
9. What warranties or post-construction service do you provide?
We provide workmanship and materials warranties (typically 1 year) and assist with mechanical system warranties. Before move-in, we complete a final walk-through and punch list review.
10. How do you handle change orders or unforeseen conditions?
When changes arise, we issue a written change order explaining the scope, cost, and schedule impact. Nothing proceeds without your approval. Transparency is essential in every project phase.
11. What is your typical payment schedule?
We use milestone-based or monthly progress billing, depending on the project type. Payment structures are outlined clearly in your agreement.
12. How can I see your past work and get references?
We maintain a portfolio of completed homes and remodels and can provide references or arrange tours of past projects (with client permission).
